Z06 to SS? - Page 2

Should have traded on a newer z06, at least that's what I'd do. I almost think going from a z06 to an SS is a big step down. JMO

Don't get me wrong, I love vettes, and my wife said I could buy what ever I wanted (which could have been a new C6 at the time). I chose a Camaro because it is a great car, not an entry level Corvette, and it suits me a lot better than a 2 seat sportscar.

Well, that's why they make different cars. They're for different folks. I didn't buy this car because I couldn't afford a Corvette. I had a C5 vert, a C6 LS2 z51 coupe, a C6 LS3 z51 Vert, and back to a C5 in Z06 trim. All great cars, all stick shift. The Z06 was outstanding. Non of them made me feel at home the way this car does. And it's a blast in both handling and power.
And I love it. That's that, no excuses.

Welcome! This is my first post and like you, I swapped my Z06 for an SS. I got sick thinking about all of the valve issues associated with the LS7 engine and simply made a calculated move to eliminate my financial exposure. I have had many Camaros and Corvettes over the years. I will keep the '72 Corvette that I have owned for 40 years now. I will not buy another. I purchases my 2014 1LE a couple of weeks ago and feel much more carefree about driving this car. If you are not having fun driving a car, find one that is fun.
