Mmm mmm mmm. Boone's Farm. Playful on the palate and not the least bit presumptuous. Also a wine not easily offended by ice cubes and a jelly jar.

Me?

I started waiting tables and then bartending in a fairly nice restaurant, a step below white table cloth, when I was 21 and that was about 16 years ago. That was my first taste of good steak and good wine. We had weekly wine tastings with the wine reps. I've enjoyed drinking it since.

I did get to taste Opus One back then. Can't recall the vintage, whatever was available in 1999. I think 36 bottles came to the entire Birmingham, AL area and we sold enough of that rep's wines that we were allowed to buy 6 of them. Probably the only time I'll ever drink that.

So that's how you got started!
I'm in I.T. and majority of the people in I.T. drinks beer.
I loath the taste of beer, it's basically comes down to the degree of bitterness and saltiness.

With wine, it actually contest the taste buds on your tongue.
You would actually to saviour the flavour of it too!

Well I like beer too. I like trying different beers, going to brewfests, microbreweries, and brew pubs. There I tend to like brown ales, porters, and stouts. Beer can be every bit as complex in flavor as wine. Some restaurants are starting to suggest pairing different beer with different food like traditionally done with wine.

I would suggest anyone that makes it to Atlanta check out a spot called 5 Seasons. Great food, great beer.

I know what you mean. I haven't been able to drink whiskey in years all because of my 21st birthday.

As a liquor store owner I have noticed more and more of my customers are using a app called Vivino. Works really well to help give suggestion on what is good and isnt. Works by taking a photo of the wine then allowing you to see reviews on it. Try it out
