Oh yea.... The TSA allows me to board a plane with a 6lb cane that I can take someone head off with in the name of safety.

Which amendment is it again that gives us the right to our form of transportation? LOL

Already there are sensors that are much faster at pickup road debris and pot holes than you or I ever will.

Cars will handle snow just like you and I do.

There is a step before this and that is connected cars that can communicate with each other. Just like radar can now stop your car for you if you aren't paying attention, your car knowing the car in front or 2 in front or 10 cars in front just slammed on the brakes will be information your car can use to react faster than you will ever be able to. How about your car being aware at an intersection that a car is not applying it's brakes and will likely run the stop sign or light and stop your car preventing the accident. All of this is possible without giving up control of the car.

Autonomous driving will help with traffic jams, accidents will be significantly reduced and more people will live.

Of course for grins, go back and watch Woody Allen in Sleepers.

Where's the fun in that??? Nope, I like some safety features, but I like to drive too. I won't even use cruise control in my Camaro, but do like the "nannies". No hybrid, no electric & I want to drive. Self parking is pretty cool though. I guess I like to pick & choose.

I'm for it on interstates. Would save a lot of lives. The trouble is, how would you transition from self-driving to human operated when you wanted to exit?
