Need help! purchasing a 1977 trans am

I had a 76 trans am and an 81 and they are notorious for rusting in the corner of the doors facing the rear wheels. Open up the door and look for bondo in that bottom rear corner.

If there is rust there, you may be in for some VERY expensive repairs.

Also the rear quarter panels right by the bottom corner of the door and at the back corner by the exhaust tips. (The fender makes a little trough that dirt can build up in and eat the metal apart.)

Oh yeah and also check the rear leaf springs. Both my T/A's had broken leaf springs. And replacing those was about 500 bucks just for the parts and they are a pain in the ass to replace.

My 79TA has 525hp & 575trq, 455 olds stroked out! Looking to increase that with this next build!
