Back in the 80's i worked at a Buick/Pontiac/GMC/Yugo dealership. I used to laugh at the Yugo's. I think they even had a Yugo GVX or something. It was their performance model. If they had a 4 door it would be called a Wego.

I had one of the GVXs in '86. It was a blast to drive... for about four or five months. Then it started falling apart. After numerous trips to the dealership for repairs, I finally told them "I am NOT leaving here with this car". I think I had it about eight months total. They traded me even for a '84 Datsun 210, which was a great car. Live and learn.

Back in the day we squeezed a 454 into a Vega.
There is a Ford mechanic in the area that put a boss motor into one of those ugly little Focus. He actually did a nice job he put it under the hood and made it RWD.

Actually they had 4door version and it's called Yugo
