Some wisdom... Make sure you know where the motors typically patrol, or their times/shifts. Motors sole job is to do traffic... Beat cops tend to be more lenient because it's not their sole responsibility.

"The nail that sticks out gets hammered."

Go with the flow of traffic or slower than it and you will likely never get pulled over.

I posed this question to a LEO friend and he said, 12 over will get you a ticket.

Yeah for the most part but I have seen state troopers pull over multiple cars at the same time.

Then again if you're weaving in and out of cars I don't care how over you're going that drives me nuts and it's not safe.

I've pulled people over for going too slow as well though. If they are in the left lane and going under the speed limit and don't move over... Yea I'm looking into it. Plus it's illegal here to ride in the "passing lane" and not getting over.

Oh and also depends on the cops job... Traffic cops have to write tickets it's their job. They are normally more strict.
I wish this were enforced more. Some people just camp in the left lane regardless of speed. They won't move, causing traffic to build behind them then force people to pass on the right where other cars are trying to merge/exit/etc. They should really drill lane discipline in drivers ed.

20 over is my general tolerance for speed, but that's very lenient. As someone said in here tolerance will vary right down to each individual officer, but I would imagine most admins will give their officers a general idea of what they limits to enforce.....Specific traffic enforcement units will generally not let you get away with as much as say a normal patrol unit just because they are normally directed to be in problem/complaint areas with stricter tolerances to squash the problem and make residents happy.....

and yes I like to hand out "Camaro Love" if they happen to get caught... as some of my fellow Camaro5 family have personally experienced

*** 20mph over in DE is the threshold where DMV can either pull you in for an admin hearing where the inspector can suspend your license for 30 days regardless of your past record OR they send you a letter stating that if get one more moving violation in X amount of time they are going to suspend you license*** 30 over is a mandatory suspension of 30 days + 1 month for every mph over that
