Gotta love NC in this aspect as well. The tried this crap here until it got shot down and now you can only get a ticket if a on duty cop witnesses and cites you the ticket. It has to do with the 6th amendment and the right to face your accuser. Since a camera can't be the accuser, the case has to be thrown out which means no ticket.

Myself and a buddy of mine went to the Bristol NASCAR race last month. We argued for a week over who's turn it was to drive. I finally convinced him that it was his turn and we went in his Silverado. Last Saturday he got a ticket in the mail for 56 in a 45 from Bluff City, TN. I'm sure glad I didn't drive!

Well they do have warning signs about 1/2 mile before you get to them... I go by them at least once a week, most locals go 40 because they are afraid of them. I know for a fact you can do 50 and not get a ticket.

You should know by now that Toledo (AKA South Detroit) sucks!

You didn't happen to get it on the way home from the Park & Shine did you? LOL

We didn't see the signs or the camera! Bluff City won't get me next year when it's my turn to drive! I'm going to go up I-81!

You just described Bluff City, TN. They make a lot on those cameras during Bristol race weeks. NASCAR and NHRA drags.

..it's a sign of the times...here in Jersey we have had CCTV cameras at almost every intersection for some time now. No doubt they are on and recording. They are slowly trying to incorrorate red light cameras with little success. It's a liberal state. There are a few around however. They cause quite a controversy.

I haven't been down that way in quite a while. You ever been up my way? The Grundy area? to put things in perspective, we Control burned (that's right, control burned) half the town to build the worlds only three story walmart! (two parking levels underneath the actual store) that is subpar lol I named that because people who have never been here seem to know about the walmart. lol

Nope never been there, never had a reason to but my wife loves WalMart so if she ever hears about it we may be making a trip up there.

I hope you make all the necessary steps to keep that secret from your wife. If you do end up coming here, don't bring the Camaro. You'l go home with a considerable amount of chips n dings in the front bumper due to all the coal trucks and construction vehicles hauling overloaded and losing half the load between point A and point B. As far as the original thread.... No reports of traffic Cams... yet. lol

Don't you just hate it? Worse yet in San Francisco, the city's buses are armed with cameras set to photograph car parked at expired meters. Those tickets are expensive and continually rollover, so if you are parked at a meter that times out and you remain there for example, five hours...you may get tagged two or three times for the same violation. Garage parking is my only relief when I visit.
