That sucks for sure. I've been going since the 90's and have never had a problem. Although we have a couple good spots that we park at depending on what side of the track we're staying that are run by good folks and not knee deep into the craziness. I live 7hrs away and that wouldn't keep me from going even if it did or does happen.

Might also had to do with the fact Dale Sr was no longer racing and it just didn't seem to be worth it any more to me.

If any of you drove your Camaro to Bristol for the race be sure to take the time to drive Hwy 421 between Bristol and Mountain City Tn. Its a great road to travel Called The Snake. Stop in Shady Valley at the store there you can't miss it on the left before heading on to Mountain City. Also You may want to take a little side trip toward Elizabethton at the intersection at the Shady valley store. There are some good curves that way too.
I met my son today at the store and followed him on his motorcycle to Bristol.
