but i do agree a bit of variation in the news after this is needed.
Michael Jackson was one of the first entertainers who prospered in an era that came after the Martin Luther King Jr. era.. Racial barriers had already been broken.. I am white/hispanic and I listened and danced to Michael Jackson music in the 80's when he was the most popular.. Ronald Reagan, the greatest President in my lifetime was in office and African American/Black American's were equals in the eyes of many.. I do agree there is still racism in this world, however it has greatly diminished worldwide towards color of skin.. However religious hatred still exists and that is a far greater battle to overcome.. Michael was a great musician and he did have many problems..However I do believe that his positives outweighed his negatives and he will be forever remembered in the same fashion as Elvis, Princess Diana and JFK.. Celebrities that died relatively young but had a tremendous impact to the world. However I disagree that he broke down barriers for blacks as that is twisting or forgetting history..

They never found OJ guilty either.

Weather MJ did it or not, he admitted to sleeping with children.....Adults do not sleep with minors that are not their kin. Sorry the dude was a great performer, but he was also a freak.

Yeah I love how before he died, the media portrayed Jackson as a weirdo molester and now that he's dead, it's like they instantly forgot he was nuttier than squirrel sh!t and a kiddy fiddler to boot.

not to sound disrespectful but how did he not want to be black? because he had a skin disease called vitilligo that has been proven year after year since the 1980s? here is a quick fact on mj....he began to where his famous glove on his hand to cover up the white spots ....then as it spread all over his body he would wear heavy brown makeup until it finally couldnt hide it anymore. dont give me that "oh he didnt break down barriers because robinson and mlk did it first. mtv....would not play black artist in primetime till michael came through.human? did you not see his daughter crying saying she lost the best father in the world? THAT IS A HUMAN and a FATHER. all the nonsense about mj didnt impact anything is fine but dont say he didnt want to be human..so if someones wife gets a boobjob that means they dont want to be human either....tell that to the 2 billion people worldwide that watched the memorial today. the man influenced many to strive for perfection.

imo of course

no he did for music videos at least if you want to narrow it down...mtv would NOT play any black artist on there channel prime time. i am not putting down or saying he is the holy king of breaking down barriers for blacks but he for sure helped BIGTIME.
