This case wasn't her fault at all but it's getting ****ing annoying to see bikers lane splitting, riding on the freaking shoulder, all on the NJ parkway by the way. Like they come out of nowhere and then ride on the shoulder for miles. LIke this story is not even related to that but I saw these bikers these other day ****ing around and it got my blood boiling.

Your rant is uncalled for and not at all appropriate for this thread.

Google an aquaintence of mine. His name is Ryan Suchanek. He has had an incredible journey and can be an inspiration to her, particularly if she does lose her leg.

I wish her well. Every day on the bike is a battle to survive, unfortunately.

Robby

The article explains all that. She sold everything she owed except the bike to fund the trip. It was her dream and enough of a dream to sacrific everything she had. I have both driven my car and ridden my bike across country. I must say, that the experience of riding a bike across country is completely different from driving. You feel more in touch with the world around you on the bike. Also, the nature of a bike (short full range on a tank, and harder on the body) means that you stop more frequently and see more stuff. I get about 200 miles on a tank of gas, but need to stop about every 80 to 100 miles to take a break and stretch. In a car I litterally drive an entire tank, stop and fuel and drive another tank.

Agreed. Looking at how people drive when they see another huge vehicle next to them, that could out right kill them, is why I don't ride a motorcycle.

How about the insurance of the car that hit her head on? Isn't that covering her injuries and damage to the bike?
An attorney who works on contingency should also be visiting Ursula.

No Fault only works if both vehicles are autos, not bikes! ask me why
I rode bikes for 30 Years. I was involved in a head on collision a year ago. My bud lost his life in that collision and i broke my foot in 3 places (2 separate bikes hitting a car that crossed a double yellow line) no fault does not cover motorcycles, you have to sue for the medical..I hope she has a good lawyer, sucks about her losing her leg Donate!!!!Please

Donation worthy? YES!

I'm a fellow rider and had a head-on collision with an on coming car many years ago, I didn't have health insurance at the time and I appreciated the money that was raised. It wasn't much but that wasn't the point, it's the thoughtfulness of the people that cared. Helicopter flights, hospitals, surgeries, doctors bills, physical therapy, and after care for years down the road aren't cheap.

I was f'ed up good from the accident and didn't ride for 6 years after the accident, not because of being scared but because of finances. The memories of the accident and physical injuries will never go away, I deal with them everyday and think about the accident every time I ride. It's a constant reminder to anyone who has been in any sort of tragic accident and lucky enough to survive.

To the haters and cagers that just don't understand motorcyclists / riders, keep your opinions to yourself, no one else wants to hear it.....
