I'm just settling into bed and I read this, and I'm glad I saw it now as I always say my prayers just before bed... What is your mother's name? I will be sending up prayers every evening until she gets better! I'm sorry you have to deal with this, but faith in The Lord will bring her through this.

Miracles happen and she will get well. Keep faith in god and help them out with that deductible the sooner the better

I did the research for you so you wouldn't have to. Thyroid Cancer has the highest survival rate of any cancer known to date! I promise I am not making this stuff up, I was relieved to hear this! Nonetheless I will be praying vigrously

She is in good hands, work on paying off the deductible, get the surgery, and she will be just fine, I can feel it!

I'll keep you and your folks in my prayers. I offer the following link for your consideration. Friends of mine have used in the past to raise monies to support surgeries.

Sending good vibes to your mom.

She's very lucky that it was caught early! I work in surgery and have done many thyroidectomies. It's an effective procedure and it will be better for her in the long run. Hope everything goes well!

Scooter is right. If you are going to get cancer, this is the type to get.

More good news.
My Mom just went through the exact same thing last month.
Same thing almost exactly. Hers was enlarged with multiple nodules. As it turns out nodules and having the thyroid removed isn't that uncommon. Her biopsy results were 'inconclusive' until they removed it and tested it. Negative for cancer, just enlarged with nodules. As for the surgery it wasn't bad. She spent one night in the hospital and went home. She had to go back 2 days afterwards for blood work and she will have to be on medication for it the rest of her life. Its very manageable.

My Prayers are with her for her to be okay. Never under estimate the power of prayer. My daughter had cancer in 2009 and only given 2 months to live. Today she is a crazy 18 year old having fun and out on her own.

My dad has had cancer three times. And he's pulled through every time. I have faith that your mother will do the same. My best wishes to you and your family.

Definitely praying!

is there a fundraiser going on for her? please let me know. i am no stranger to cancer. many of my family have been through it and have survived. My mother-in -law did not it that was the hardest thing i have been through. she had pancreatic cancer though. my cousin that is only 29 had thyroid and beat it! Praise God!

is there a place here on C5 we can start a fundraiser?

Psalms 55 is a great passage to read in time of trouble. "cast your burdens to the Lord"

Gob Bless,

David
