I've met Reese personally more than once, and she's one of the most elitist, narcissistic, nastiest, rudest people I've ever encountered. I also have friends who grew up with her who say she has always been like that (her family was very wealthy and top tier in Nashville and they paid for a lot of plastic surgery and to get her into acting).

I say she got what she deserved. Her hubby and his crappy Focus could have gotten someone killed, so her popping attitude like she's something special just makes her look like a total jackwagon.

I heard the same thing from a coworker yesterday, Reese was filming a movie in her family's restaurant over the weekend and she wouldn't give her family the time of day.

That sucks to hear that. I always liked her. But this whole stunt defininently makes me think less of her. I hate when celebrities think they can do whatever they want just because they are in movies/tv.

They are like that because they are catered to by everyone but sometimes life shows them they poop the same way we norms do.

Meh. I look at celebrity news this way:

Would it be news if I, a regular Joe, did it? No? Then how is it a news when celebrities do it? If I managed to raise 10 million dollars to save staving children, or if I murdered my family ... yeah, that stuff is news worthy -might even get national attention. But a DUI? That wouldn't even make the local town paper.

On a similar note, I restrict my opinion of celebs to what they do for their art (or whatever else it is that they are known for). The DUIs listed above aren't related to why the person in question is famous. If they were, say a member of a neo-abolishionist movement ... well now its a different story. They'd be a hypocrit and it would discredit their earned status in the public eye. But an actress, musician, and sportscaster? So what. How is that really any different than an assembly line worker, a stock broker, and a burger flipper getting pulled over for the same thing?
