I was just going by what i was told. There is a 60th Anniversary Grand Sport on the lot of my local dealer that my dad has been looking at for a while and almost bought one time. They called my dad as soon as the C7 was unveiled to see if he wanted to work some numbers on it. When my dad and i were there they told us they wanted to move them since the amount of '13s they sold determined the number of '14s they would be allocated. Not sure if that was a GM rule or maybe a rule that got set on them by Hendricks since they recently just switched ownership to the Hendricks chain.

My local dealer started a lottery for the chance to buy a C7. You get one entry for each car you have purchased from them, unless it was a different Corvette, then you get 2. These are the same people that are trying to get $10K over sticker for the 427 convertible and $5k over on all ZL1's. :(
They are the host for the second largest Corvette club in the western US and usually a top 3 Corvette dealer in California. They move a lot of Corvettes, just not a fan of the markup crap.

One of the local dealers said he had to sell 4 in 2012 to get a c7. He sold 3 and has the 4th, so he doesn't get one.

I don't see a issue. Anyone who wants and can afford a C7 will not have a problem getting one.

I don't think the problem isn't just getting one at whatever cost because $ does talk... but by not paying the ADMs at whatever cost to be shelled out by the buyer... and getting an early chance or initial dibs in securing one fairly and hopefully below sticker. Like stated, if they build enough especially for the Q3-Q4 release then there should be plenty available.

Not sure if it is true heard it from a sales manager, but I digress. He said that there was a number of corvettes that needed to be sold in order to be considered a corvette dealership... to even have access to 'em. I am trying to remember what he said the threshold was. I thought it was three... may have been four.
