Thanks, you just made me appreciate GM's new design so much more.

Nice styling... kept the C6 greenhouse design intact but for me I like it just the way it is... the way it changed & progressed.

....Just thinking...As much as I hate to see it go, the powers that be have made me a believer that the "retro" thing is on it's way out...not necessarily a bad thing, I guess...
...I like the new 'Vette...It's the car that should have more of a new look from time to time...Don't know if 'Vette owners do like some of the Camaro guys...that is, if you don't like something on it, mod it to how you like...lol |

I'm pretty sure the pillars on either side of the back glass are probably for structural rigidity since the roof is a targa top...
I do agree that the body-colored strip on the roof above the driver's door window needs to either be black or carbon fiber just like the targa top...

i'm not sure that's it or not. anyone seen how much of the rear opens up?
if they were going that route i would just as soon had them close up the rear completely like the 63' and maintain the wrap-around window

Pretty easy. Door frames are completely different, no more three-piece bumper up front, new fender flares, side moldings are now integrated into the sheet metal, extended cabs no longer have suicide doors, crew cab rear doors are longer, new grille/crossbar/headlights, integrated spoiler in the tailgate, need I go on?

![]() That piece of metal, although part of the rear lift up window/gate thing, probably has a pretty significant impact on the ability of the car to not crumple in a collision. Just like how the driver's and passenger's side door is a structural member of the car, even though it can still open... I imagine the slow-motion crash video of any vehicle would look significantly different if the doors were removed.

![]() never said build a new 63', i said close up the rear for rigidity instead of hatchback.
