Been following the spy shots and renderings now for months and until recently I thought it was a mistake to go with that for the rear end. It is growing on me, simply because those lights really are bad ass, and well I've pretty much accepted it already but I do have my grumbles about it as well. In a perfect world (my perfect world) those lights would have ended up on the next gen Camaro, and something different, but still awesome would have wound up on this Corvette. Oh wells, it doesn't make me hate the car or anything.

I see Chevrolet. I don't see Camaro.

It doesn't look anything like a camaro or a corvette or a stingray. It looks like Ferrari wanted a cheaper 599. Or somebody made a Ferrari kit car. If it carries the name of a historic car it should have some even slight resemblance to the previous car.

just can't get enough

^ Well it does have some hints of the past here & there... albeit minor/subtle ones. IMO I'm glad GM totally & radically redesigned it. The purists may be offended but I like the significant change. Honor the past and adorn it for the future. I'd get one...

Or maybe Ferrari copied quite some design cues from the C6 into the 599? And now with the C7 arriving, people seem to think that GM copied Ferrari... |
