CALL IN! i'm in cabot been riding around a few hours in a van, the roads are too wet to dry and will be a solid sheet of ice... if you can get a ride i'd do that althought there are a ton of power outages and trees that will continue to fall on roads.

It depends almost exclusively on your skill levels... peruse these threads, and you'll see comments regarding the snow capabilities of fifth gens, and regardless of model, options, or tires, you can find statements along the entire spectrum starting with, "Impossible to drive an entire inch without certain death!" all the way to, "I'm going to try to climb Everest in mine (nad I'm NOT gonna chain up), because it's better than any SnowCat ever was!" The common denominator within the range of comments is the car; the VARIABLE is the driver.

I live in the Seattle area and our winters are usually between high-30's to low-50's for temps and RAIN.. lots of it. I had to get a new set of tires because when temps get around 40-45 degrees and even rain, the P-Zeros have little traction and it doesn't take much to spin those rear tires out. In fact, the car gets more squirrelly than Central Park in the Spring. The new BFG G-Force Comp2's I bought handle even standing water at 40-45 degree temps beautifully. Even at that, I won't drive the Camaro in the snow... except about 6 blocks to the empty parking lot at the grocery store so I can open up my own bakery in their parking lot.

I live in little rock and it hit us hard on Christmas. I did not even think of moving my car, but the next day when it stopped I took the risk and drove it out. ( needed food). It wasn't as bad as I thought as long as I stayed on busy roads where the streets were still warm. The most pain I had was getting out of the apartment complex. I Got stuck a couple of times getting out.

My camaro is still in the garage and it's going to sit there for a couple of days. We got a foot at my house.
![]() So people can see what we are dealing with... ![]() Taken this morning... In the city it's pretty much taken care of, but out in the country it's still a mess. Haven't had power since Christmas, hope it comes back on today.

So glad i bought the hummer, i had snows on custom rims as a back up plan if i didnt pull the trigger on the SUV, but I did. THe compound on the Pirellis are so hard i cant even dig my fingernail into them, and the hummers are mushy when its 20 degreees out. I took the Camaro out in 40 degree rain and it wanted to spin out constantly and I could only imagine what snow would be like.
Is anyone interested in this set of tires/rims that fit the 2010 SS with the weighted Brembos? They have TPMS and were included in my purchase of the car, only driven on once for fitment purposes and they drive excellent. Please contact me via email if you are interested - anthonyrfraccica@yahoo.com and we can figure out shipping. https://post.craigslist.org/k/TLajY2...VD72?s=preview

We only got a few inches of light snow here in Michigan and among many others my brother and I saw a Camaro with the pirelli's in the ditch. I would say definitely not a good idea.
