Sounds like you have the same issue as this cobra driver....

The thread was to see if anyone else has had similar experiences, which is why I asked for other stories.

I know people get butt hurt and jealous over certain things, but if you yourself drive a car that draws attention, what is so wrong with telling others that they also have an impressive ride?

I guess I’m just not the type of person that can grasp this concept because I appreciate a cool ride regardless of owner/make/model, and don’t have a problem telling them it’s cool.

took my z to a cruise in and i parked by a ss we talking and some mustangs guys walk by and one looks at our cars tells his friends i dont know my they keep making these piles of crap they cant even beat a boss 302 i just look at the other guy and we just smiled i like all cars if you have a great car i will tell you

So quick story I couldn’t help but laugh at....

The other day I took my Camaro to the local auto bell to get it all clean and shiny, anyway, I pulled my car into the entrance of the drive through and watched my car go halfway through before I noticed a huge crowd around a car that was getting detailed, so naturally I walked outside and took a look. It was a nice looking mystic cobra with black rims and aftermarket tail lights had a nice sound to it as well, so naturally I complimented the driver on his ride….

No more than 2 minutes after I complimented him my car was started by one of the employees and pulled to the far end of the parking lot. (my car sounds like a flat out nascar even at idle, I will post a link at the bottom so you can hear it) Anyway, the crowd that WAS at this mystic cobra migrated its way over to my Camaro. Obviously the 1st question was “what the hell you got in that thing”, so I went into all the mods and answered the questions of all the people in the crowd…. So I poke my head out of the crowd only to see the guy in the cobra with a sour/butt hurt look on his face get in his car and angrily speed off.

Why is this dude so mad? Cant people just appreciate a nice ride regardless if the make/model is their cars traditional rival?!, I mean, I somehow managed to tell a cobra driver that he has a nice ride, you’d think they could return the favor.

Anyway, the link is at the bottom to my YouTube page, you can find several videos of my car, it may help put in perspective why everyone made their way to my car and began to ask questions…

If anyone has any other stories like this, I’d like to hear them.

Wow guys, I thought this was a camaro forum…. A place where camaro owners come together to appreciate other people camaros, and yet half the people that posted on this thread have either bashed my car or accused me of needing validation….

1st of all, I don’t need validation, I have 800rwhp, if I want validation I’ll take it when I want it. And I get “validation” every single time I’m stopped in traffic or come out to my car after being in a store, someone is always there to say something nice.

2nd I thought it was kind of funny/sad that the only person that couldn’t appreciate the car was a so called “rival”, and he drove off butt hurt.

3rd this is a camaro forum, which suggests that you either drive a camaro or want one…. Why bash your own car.

Anyone that commented negatively to this thread only leaves me to believe that you are either jealous or just a flat out a cry baby little B****! I also find it interesting that the ones posting negative either have a V6, or ZERO pictures of their own car. (envy much)

Go get on the haters forum, cause that’s all you are, and you make me smile just like the mystic cobra in my story See you at the finish line haters, well, I’ll see you in the rearview that is

Honestly man dont sweat it, the guy was pissed because he wasnt a true car guy and hes obviously the jealous type. You told him he had a great car, he shouldve returned the favor. As for the guys bashing you for the story, who cares, I think its a funny story and one I can definitly relate to in my V6, in fact I know I would get roasted for my stories just out of sheer disbelief. Anyways man you have a badass car, thats a story I can relate to as well.

But a cool story that I have of is when I was drooling over a guys GT500 KR, he came over to look at my Camaro, this was back in 2009 when the Camaros first came out.
He goes pop the hood. I told him "its just a V6"
he went "SO?! Theyre packing 300hp out of a v6, pop the hood!" Cool guy and a true car guy. Was pretty awesome that he gave respect towards my car, especially a V6 and this is from a guy who had a KR.

It should be unnatural, unless you think that the world is expected to be jealous and angry at everyone who has something better then you. And if that’s your mentality… then you are exactly what is wrong with the world.

I don’t expect you to appreciate power or speed, and I also don’t expect you to understand pride. Maybe all you know is greed and jealousy, in which case I feel sorry for you. Your probably one of those guys that sees a cool car and turns his head the other way because you don’t want the owner to see that you like his car…. Sad. I don’t understand the concept of acting that you don’t like something because it’s not yours. It’s an extremely disgraceful trait that you have their buddy.

Are you sure your other car isn’t a mystic cobra, because you sure are acting like a little kid who just got his milk taken from him. I dont need to get over myself, I think you need to get over me though cause of all the attention you seem to be paying.
