I pray every day... that as I haul tail down the road, that The Man doesn't get me on radar. I spend time on my knees, lovingly Armor-Alling the tires. I pay my tithe... a good ten percent goes to the car. And rapture? Yep, I experience that every day... I guess I am a born- again Camarotarian.

What is worship?

1
chiefly British: a person of importance —used as a title for various officials (as magistrates and some mayors)
2
: reverence offered a divine being or supernatural power; also: an act of expressing such reverence

3
: a form of religious practice with its creed and ritual

4
: extravagant respect or admiration for or devotion to an object of esteem <worship of the Camaro>

I really, really, really like my Camaro. It's right up there with a big old pile of really cool guns and a safe filled with 30,000 rounds of ammo.
Worship.....naw.

I do find it amusing though that religion constantly preaches disdain for material goods, and then asks for all of your money. (to "help" you rid yourself of those nasty Material goods)

If you can find a way to worship your camaro without bringing in or mentioning religon(s), then you can have another thread

Cool

I perform sacrificial offerings to my car. Does that count as worshiping it?

This is toward the church to improve it, supplies, sunday schools, charities etc... always for a good cause.

Sure. It doesn't mean you pray to it. It means it becomes the center of your life. I mean i've heard of people who have a wife and kids, living in a little apartment...but spending thousands on their car.
As much as i like cars, they aren't the center of my life.

It's not healthy to worship a car or any other material thing imo. There are far more important things in life than a car or material such as good health and serenity.

5 years ago i put my show car above everything else. i did not realize it at the time...until it was stolen from me. and never recovered.... i do believe someone was trying to tell me something. it worked. material things are here today and can all be gone tomorrow, ask sandy/katrina/world disaster victims.

Good point. I hesitate to say it's just a car cause of how important the Camaro is to alot of us but there are more important things.
