As others have said, you should be aware that maintenance on those cars will be horrible. My mother had a 2002 BMW and in the last few years (she got rid of it in 2010) things were going wrong left and right.

I would also agree that your odds of making it through your first couple of years without a wreck of some sort are very low. Additionally, few things are as bad for cars as a high school parking lot. Your car WILL get dinged up.

No offense to you or people your age (I'm in my late 20's myself), but generally it's a bad idea to give a fast car to an inexperienced driver. Given, there are a lot more computer nannies than there used to be, but it's still very possible to lose control while trying to push it. Start small and work your way up.

High performance cars are for mature, experienced drivers, neither of which a 16 yr old possesses.
I recommend this as a first car. Ugly, slow, safe and cheap. Plus cops will never notice you speeding.

I'd suggest learning proper grammar/spelling before you go and do something as complicated as driving. You needs couple years maturing before you have even a early 90s miata.

You're 16 years old, get a job and buy something that you can afford. This will help you to build a work ethic leading you to work harder for a really nice car in the future.

A $12,000 car isn't needed at 16 years old, you're going to take it to school, people will mess with it and you'll probably get in a couple of accidents with it.. the chances are just there, nothing against you personally.

For 12k, stick to something small and cheap. Don't got for a BMW or Audi. Besides, you want to get something you can work on your self because having to pay for oil changes and small repairs gets expensive.
