Do you have one in BC for all the new immigrants from China that are first-time, first-generation drivers, maybe a moniker that is HMOGANCD.......which is Holy Mother of God, Another New Chinese Driver.

Not being racist or anything, but there is no history of them driving or used to being in a car or their parents teaching them the ropes. Don't believe me, drive up to Vancouver, BC sometime.

I think r-rocket above has it. Costcos, Walmart are high alert areas and I have been ditched, cut off or near miss before by drivers of all ages. Like on a cell and rolling a stop sign while looking right at you...

If you know drivers that need to not be driving (fender dents, lost etc), one get their eyes checked. If that does not fix it, then the best is to have the family doctor tell them to stop driving. Takes the heat off the family.

For those ragging the elderly, you too may be there someday and your wheels are your independence. Real tuff to give up the joy and independence of a good ride.

Sent texting from IPhone 5...lol...not

I am more concerned with the younger crowd than the elderly. As for parents teaching the kids the ropes. That is a FAIL all the way. Parents A: are too biased and view their kids as better than they are. B: parents teach their children their own bad habits.

Drivers ed with trained instructors should be mandatory for anyone wanting a new license.

Yes i am a parent. Never had an accident or a ticket in 27 years. I went through drivers ed and my kids will too even though it isn't required.

As a motorcyclist I never assume someone sees me, but I agree about old people. I live in AZ, and when the old ass snowbirds get into town, driving takes on a different feel.

That seems to happen to me at least once or twice a week. It's not just the "Blue Hairs" that do it either. I think people just don't bother to look or just figure you will stop for them.

DWO is a very big problem here in Florida. Not only do we have our own, we also get others here six months out of the year. The way they drive here, I have no idea how they make their yearly migration.

Kinda the old adage ... Grandma died with a smile on her face, unlike the passengers in her car ...

I agree there has to be some kind of testing after a certain age. My '89 RX-7 Turbo had the entire passenger side damaged, while parked, because of an older lady who had no idea what was going on. Even in the police statement, the officer mentioned she seemed out of it and probably shouldn't be driving. There was a lot of time and money in that car, and it was never the same afterwards.

Can't blame ya for the rant Adam, I'm still struggling to get my dad to stop driving period but it's hard for seniors to admit old age has lessened their driving skills. I've had an easier time getting alcoholics to give up the drink than convincing the elderly their abilities are in decline. It's a process taking their car keys away.

It is funny that a lot of people complain about old people and their driving ability, yet when I drive by a majority of accident scenes, I see a couple of young drivers by their cars! Young=inexperience.

You need to turn her in. I had a 90 year old making a left hand turn crossing two lanes stop in front of me, I was on my motorcycle, doing the speed limit. after pushing in her center door panel flying over the car, breaking my pelvis, four vertbrae my right foot, and right wrist. plate and pins in pelvis andright wrist were my new mods. Not to mention my bladder had to come out to get access to the pelvis. But she just pulled away, witnesses had to stop her, she just keep driving away, finally the local PD asked her why she cut me off, she gave them a sad story how I was barreling down on her, the cop stopped her, and the witness gave a full acocunt, She should not have been driving. she went off for a burger, and I spent 10 days in the hospital. still feeling pain to and paying the medical bills. the DMV does not do enough. so here is a rant.

People texting on their IPhones are just as dangerous and harder to spot until they pull out in front of you.
