Unfortunately, there is never a 100% garranty that you won't end up with a lemon. We have had a couple members that have had major issues. But I think the majority of them were V6 members. There have also been some issues with the half shafts on the V8 cars, but I think those were do to power adders over powering them. If your looking for a toy with some good handling and not worried about a little harder ride, look at the 1LE package. It comes with some nice add ons. I've also heard good things about the dual mode exhaust.
