As I understand it, that colour is somewhat popular in other markets where that car is sold. Same story with a few of the Sparks other ... unusual colours.


And the lack of bright blue on the Camaro is because it shares a paint shop with other cars that generally don't look right with bright colours. So the only way that they could have something like that on the Camaro would be to drop something else thats Camaro specific, like yellow or orange

Here is a 1965 Evening Orchid Nova SS. Chevelles could be had in this color too.

Difference being, the old cars looked good, no matter the color. They made colors look nice. Not the other way around.

It's not so much silly as it is quirky and different. The targeted consumer is obviously young, first-time buyers, just starting out, living in large cities. The kinds of cars marketed to these people need to be different and stand out. Look at the Fiat 500, smart fourtwo, they all have odd color schemes or interior trims.

So yeah, a bunch of folks on here may find it silly. But considering how well Spark has sold in its first month or so of retail sales in limited markets, I think GM has a potential winner on their hands.

Oh, and Sarah, you've seen the figures. ABM didn't sell well compared to the other paint colors for Camaro. It's not like GM killed the color to be a jerk or because they just felt like it, it simply wasn't in as high of demand as you think it was.
