I have to disagree. The effects when compared to stuff these days is poor, but for the time...the Christopher Reeve movies were quite good.
I don't mind moviemakers re-doing a lot of these series, because they were comic books first. Special effects improve...and some of the version of these movies are great, others suck (Think Hulk, the last X-Men). Christopher Reeve played Superman perfectly as far as acting goes though.
