Heck my buddy's wife just spent $23k on a Corolla, so I think $25k for a true sports car is cheap for a 2013 model.
Not to mention the AVERAGE amount paid for a new car is over 30k. For what it is the FR-S (and the BR-Z) are screaming bargains.

Ken gucci's drift car looks so sick imo! I would of bought the fr-s if it would have looked exactly like the concept car. But they changed it massively from the concept model look.

The BRZ will never get the current sti motor, it is being phased out. It has also been having severe problems since 2008 when Subaru made some changes to meet emissions requirements. There is a new sti on the horizon with a completely new engine. They won't release a new sti drivetrain in the BRZ, it will always be impreza first. 2014 model year supposedly. I would expect the BRZ STi to be released soon after.

pretty sure we can all smoke that car in first gear. The Subaru version is EXACTLY the same car. Same front, same Boxster engine, same interior and very similar price. To compare those cars to the Camaro or Genesis is only asking for laughs. They both have the looks but by no means has the performance that a true sport coupe should have.

It's boxer engine, not boxster just to let you know. A lot of people confuse that. Anyway, that depends on what your interpretation of the performance a true sport coupe should have is. The BRZ/FRS will handle so far beyond the v6 camaro it's not even funny. It's way down on power, but handling wise it's in a different league. This car was made to compete with the likes of the miata, the s2000, etc. It's a sport coupe meant to carve corners.

Um, the BR-Z has a totally different front fascia, different stereo and climate controls, STANDARD navigation (not available on the FR-s, or the v6 Camaro for that matter) and offers options the FR-S doesn't have also such as leather, dual automatic climate control, and leather seats. Also the suspension are setup differently, BR-Z is more neutral while the FR-S is tuned to allow more oversteer. Also it would not be such an easy win for a V6 Camaro, especially and auto. The best 0-60 so far for the FR-S is 6.2 and i have yet to see one slower than 6.4, I have seen mags post slower 0-60s that that for the V6 Camaro. It is a nice little sports car that will run circles around a V6 Camaro in handling and isn't that much slower..... weight has as much to do with a cars makeup as horsepower an considering the twins are what, 900 or so pounds LIGHTER than the Camaro.....

If they develope the sti version with the new turbo engines that toyota has been designing we could see 375hp at around 3000lbs

I am sorry but the camaro will win, the v6 is handles pretty well in comparison to some of the imports I have driven. That in combination with the more hp and torque (despite the weight) we should win.

Off topic, but your buddy's wife is a complete idiot for spending that much money on a car that is easily worst in class compared to what GM, Ford, Dodge, and Hyundai are producing now.

I've driven one. Great little car. Definitely has some 2000GT DNA. It is just a slight bit better than the hardtop Miata. I wouldn't own one, but they do remind me of my MR-S.

No doubt it handles better than the V6 Camaro but around a track the camaro would take it. Its just too much slower and I dont think ya'll are giving the V6 enough credit in the handling department. Especially an RS with Pzeros which really arent a bad track tire at all.

I think with two equal drivers you will find the Camaro will win on almost all tracks, not by a huge margin but respectfully.

Imo they dropped the ball on this car, too expensive for the performance. It needed at least 40-60 more HP and they would have sold like crazy.

It is not THAT much slower than the V6 Camaro, it is 0-60 in the low 6s and 1/4 mile in the high 14s, Camaro, is for the most part, realistically a mid/high 14 second car. high 5s, low 6s 0-60. When it gets twisty, with them being that close, it would be VERY VERY hard for the Camaro with it's C6 to do anything, it is just too big and heavy. Sorry, but but like I said, physics sucks.
