It should be. My prediction: 11:6x @ 128MPH one hundred percent factory stock on the Goodyears it comes with.
Good they worked it out. I like the Shelby name on the GT500. Thanks for the update.

The Shelby is going to do work on the zl1 at the strip. I think it will be a toss up at the strip.

You mean the roadcourse? The strip is not even a debate for most guys anymore. Just waiting now if the upgraded SVT-PP will make the new GT500 good enough to hang or beat the ZL1 in tracks with turns.

11.5 doesnt sound unreasonable at all if people expect the ZL1 to run 12.0's. im sure the extra 90hp and 250lbs less will have the GT500 running 11.5's and possibly 10's on a good tire!

11.5 is very plausible if we assume the zl1 is capable of 11.XX, but the 60 time seems fast for the tire they're running even with extremely good launch control. If that 60 time is right it will be one hell of an advertising point.

This... It has a better power to weight ration than a C6Z, and not by a slim margin either.

if the GT500 can trap 125mph it would only take a pedestrian-like 2.2 60' time to run 11.5's. If it traps maybe 123mph they would still only need a very doable 2.05-2.1 60'time

if you can cut a hero-run type 1.8 60' time and if it does indeed trap 125mph plus, then 10.8's street tire hero-runs are possible IMO

I think it will trap 125 all day long with a decent driver. If the ZL1 can do 120 I see no reason why it wouldnt do 125.

Well, only a couple more weeks, and we will see all the numbers and hopefully road course track performance improvements. Ford must do official runs on the Nurburgring because the Gauntlet has been thrown down by Chevy, Dodge, Nissan, Porsche and every other respectable car company.

I hope they've somewhat solved the monocoque problem with the fixed axel in hard corners, this will make it a roadcourse beast. Erik

Anyone still in denial about this car needs their head examined. Lighter than the ZL1, with 70 more crank hp...and people think the ZL1 stands any chance? Come on now....

I can't wait! There's a couple of debates to settle with a few here. Oddly enough, they have been very quiet.

yeah you are right, technically on days a ZL1 can do 120mph the GT500 should be able to trap closer to 128-129mph. But the ZL1 is averaging only 116mph so i think an average trap of 125mph for theGT500 will be a more realistic number.
