It's not really that insane...

Ya figure the LS9 will be hand-assembled, and featuring tighter tolerances, lighter (more $$$) internal parts, and stronger parts to handle more boost (probably the same supercharger running a different pulley)

The LS8/LSA will probably be more of a production line job with more traditional internals (still plenty strong) will somewhat less boost... still probably capable of matching the LS9's output with only a little work. My guess is that the LSA will focus more on being smooth and torquey whereas the LS8 (for us) will be higher revving and lighter... JMHO though.

Most of the design is the same, many of the major components will be the same, its the details that will seperate them really... so its not SO nuts.

Agreed. You are really looking at much different performance expectations and power delivery and "feel" when talking about the CTS, Corvette, and Camaro. I'd rather have very similar engines with different tuning but compatible components (so upgrading/parts swapping will be easy) with different names than different levels of tuning for the same engine name. It is actually less confusing this way, IMHO.

Just because I like you all so much - Go HERE. There's much better pictures, without the PIA "jalopnick" watermark.
