OP....when is your 90 days over? Is it before or after the date you got this ticket?

If you want to keep your insurance rates down and license then you need a lawyer...not a maybe...that's my opinion. You're gonna need to keep your nose completely clean for a long while.

Careless driving is 6 points dropped to exibition should be only 3 points. So you would have 9 points left on your license. Depending on how fast your speed was will determine the amount of points lost. You can only take the driving course if it was under 20 mph and only once every 3 years. That is the regulations in my state.

Best alternative, is hire an attorney and try to plea bargin it down.

The 90 days should be over at the end of this month so after i got the second ticket. A traffic lawyer right. I bet they are pricey

if your first ticket was dropped, then it's like you never got it. you don't need to talk to anyone. just pay for your second ticket, and stop driving like a maniac.

If your second one is after the 90 days as you indicated...then that one is ok and doesn't affect you.

If you pay the second ticket...it could affect your insurance rates since now you have a ticket on your record. Depends on your goals there if you want to lawyer up. I have no idea on rates in your area for that...but yeah...you'd call the lawyer's office and ask them if they handle traffic tickets.

It shows you got the ticket on 12-27-11...so 90 days from there is 03-26-12...but that is based on the date the ticket was issued. My guess is your date to start from would be the date you went to court last for that first ticket. But either way...03-26-12 has not occurred yet, so your first ticket will be an issue.

Take both tickets into the lawyer and explain the whole situation and good luck. Nothing else we can tell you here that will help.

The way driving school normally works is they suspend the point and penalties temporary and will drop it AFTER that time has expired (in this case 90 days) but ONLY if you don't get another moving violation. If you get a ticket during that time, you face the penalties and points of both tickets.

OP, you need to lawyer up. And no they aren't cheap, around $300-$350 here but in your case this will be cheaper then what will happen if you don't.

Is that per hour? Or do they charge by case?

Just because your ticket was "adjudication withheld" dones not mean that a judge can't see it on your long permanent history...that's the way it works in FL anyway.

I teach traffic classes as well for a friend of mine and see people with issues like this all the time. Learn the lesson now...slow down and pay attention behind the wheel. The reality is that the general public won't care if you only kill yourself be being careless behind the wheel...unfortunately, there is more than just a single life affected by poor driving.

You're young enough to change your habits and not screw up your insurance rates..etc.

The camaro I purchased was traded in by a young man on a Prius, of course due to to many tickets, and of course his father made him, he couldnt handle the car. I hope you can control what these badboys have to offer. Here, if you show up to court, the officer should also, just talk to him before. Goodluck.SS
