I never put the camaro down, dont know why you gotta knock the sti, my concern is spending 50grand on a bankrupt company with a goverment warranty....please! have any of you ever had any dealings with the goverment..

Camaro is a great looking car..

STI is a pretty good car and seems to hold its value more so than other's.

Dude seriously. They are restructuring. If you expected nobody to get laid off and no products to get cut, you are dead wrong. This shit needs to happen for GM to become leaner, faster, and better. They are not going under, they will come out of bankruptcy better and stronger than they ever were at any point in time before this mess. Bankruptcy is not failure. There is no reason you should be worried. Your making a mistake if that is the only reason you are not getting a camaro.

They are not on the verge of collapse!!!!!!

Any body with any type of "business sense" would know that.

What you'll be doing is spending $50k on a company that needs your money and will use it to become stronger and return to being the world's largest automaker. Believe me, this is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the worst that GM's gone through.

GET THIS INTO YOUR HEADS, PEOPLE. GM IS NOT GOING AWAY. GM IS NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT. GM WILL BE BACK AT THE TOP ONE DAY...AND TOYOTA WILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HIT THEM.

And remember...keep the faith...:flag2:

I kept thinking about getting a different car too but not because of the bankruptcy thing. Every car I like I compare to the camaro but there is no comparison! Camaro is the best bang for your buck! the 09 subies are ugly anyways lol the hatch looks ok but the sedan one looks horrible. I want to support america and GM.

Not on the verge of collapse. In trouble, yes....there is a difference. If you read a little further into it, you'll find that the government is not willing to let Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC, and Buick fail. They will 'save' the good bits of GM. And that includes the Camaro. There really is nothing to worry about as far as Chevrolet and the Camaro is concerned. Lots of other bits are in turmoil....like Pontiac, and Saturn...but not Chevy.

And repeat: the warranty is covered. What more can you be worried about?

The choice is clearly yours, but if this is the only thing deterring you from the Camaro, you're making a very big mistake.:(

GM Ain't going anywhere. And everything i've read matches up with dragoneye, Government isn't going to let them fall. GM is restructuring, not dieing.

"IF" GM was to fail (which it will not), whether i had a camaro or a WRX would be the last of my concerns, (In my honest opinion, feel free to 'agree to disagree') the loss fo GM would bring on one heck of a recession. (i dare not use the word beginning with D used for the next stage). we could probably refer to it as the "greatest De*#%@*ion"

I have friends who drive Impreza WRX STI's and they're fine cars, i'm not going to start subie bashing, it's a totally different car than the camaro, but would i choose one over the camaro? no, not if my only reason was "the company is weak". If everyone has that mindset, the world is doomed, because right now nearly every company is hurting.

Don't be scared of buying a Chevrolet because Pontiac is in trouble, the Camaro is one hell of a car. 426 horses under you foot? c'mon....

I wouldn't spend $50,000 on the Camaro either. $40,000 yes but not $50,000.
