Try watching the original, Golion.

We really cut up the original, brought it here and called it Voltron.

Same with Mazinger Z (Tranzor Z), Getter Robo G (Starvengers), Daiku Maryu Gaiking ( Gaiking), Wakusei Robo (Danguard Ace), etc.

As a kid, you just couldn't wait to get home from school just to catch the next episode of VOLTRON. Fnny to see that since I have the collection sets, now my 4 year old son also loves it!

Not Voltron --- but, thought I'd share some Super Robot Toy pics with my fellow fans of that era.. (Sadly, I don't have any of Voltron -- but you may recognize some of the others)

The four tall ones are the vinyl series and are 18"-24" tall. The ones in the case are the Soul of Chogokin series from Bandai and are pretty much all metal.

Big difference in cartoons now. Lots of old cartoons I'm surprised have not been re-done. Wish I could find on dvd for my kids to see.

^Voltron does actually have a sequel cartoon on now... It tells the story of what happened after the final battle and shows the new Cadets..

Can't say I'm really digging the fact that each Lion can "form the head" now.. Kinda like the old school fixed mode Voltron.

absolutely loved this show! I believe I was about 5 when I used to watch that show religiously!! didn't find out 'til I was much older that it was actually Japanese anti-American propaganda. USA was the Gamalons, bombarding the Earth (Japan) with radioactive meteor bombs. Seems so obvious now...

plus Nova was pretty much my first crush. Hail Deslock!

they revealed at the end of comic con 2011, that a full feature film will be made. produced by Charles Roven (The Dark Knight), Richard Suckle (The International), and Jason Netter (Wanted). Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, who co-wrote Sahara and the new Conan the Barbarian, are penning the script

Wow humanwiki.
your sweet collection bought back great memories. I had a small robot toy black with the red V on chest the back v detached and I believe his fists detached. Awesome toy was solid metal.
