I tend to hear that everyone loves their Mazda.....

...for the first three months and then they realize how poorly built it is.

Isn't this the same problem their having with the V6 Camaro's.

I wonder if their low oil light works.

When I was in the market for a car a year ago, the a-hole salesman wouldn't let me test the RX8, probably because I'm only 21. After hassling them to at least try a Speed3, which is a really fun car, I wound up getting my camero the same day. Their loss.

They stopped making rx-8 in 2011. My wife had a 07, what a piece of junk. It was in the shop all the time. 3 batteries, drop fuel tank replace some parts, new radiator, 3 sets of tires, 300.00 for 4 spark plugs, quart of oil every month. The car only had 40,000 miles on it. Lucky to get over 15 mpg. Traded it in for a 2012 370z. The last straw was when the car would just stop. Would not start. They had no idea why it was doing this. God help the new owner.

They really need a new engine to put into the RX's... they still have a last gen engine that doesn't put out much power and is inefficient. You can get a much better car for you money from just about anyone...

Prodution doesn't end till the summer of 2012.

We had an 04 RX-8. It was an absolute blast to drive. The auto transmission with the paddle shifters was phenominal and puts the Camaro's shift buttons to shame on how they operate and their location. IMO the interior of the RX-8 is much better than the Camaro's. Yes, we were plagued with the common problems they are notorious for. I.E. plugs, coils, throttle body, broken sun visors, condensation in the tail lights, starter... Warranty took care of every single problem until they said we need a new engine and they wouldn't pay for it because I could not provide every single oil and filter change receipt. I mis-placed a couple of the receipts along with some other important paperwork when we were moving. No ones fault but my own. We traded the car in on a 07 Moostang GT. Don't even get me started on that P.O.S. haha

If they would have actually fixed the known issues of the Renesis engine, we would have easily been in another RX8 over the Camaro. Don't get me wrong, I love the Camaro, it's just that the RX-8 was that much fun to drive. My only real complaint is that you needed wet roads to do any rear wheel steering in the RX-8.
