Well the weak dollar makes imports more expensive relative to domestic cars, and it makes American cars sold abroad relatively cheaper too. So I don't mind the 135 being expensive, because the reason it is so expensive is the same reason GM's cars are/will be so affordable. I do not doubt the fbodfather when he says we'll be surprised how affordable the Camaro will be. With the new labor contract and the weak dollar, GM is looking at very favorable financial conditions.
Umm, your weak dollar will make the Camaro more expensive. They are made in Canada and we are currently running about 1.05:1, compared to 0.75:1.

Well the Canadian dollar is at least close to the dollar, versus the pound and euro, which far exceed the dollar, making European imports more expensive. It also closes the gap with the low yen, which allows the Japanese imports to be so cheap. So the Camaro will be less expensive on relative terms versus the competition. It makes GM more competitive on price, even if it makes the true cost vs if it were built in America a bit higher. Weird huh?

One of my biggest dream cars is the Pontiac Trans Am 98-02 ram air hood big wing and T-tops with 6 speed. It's getting closer and closer to me being able to afford one.

I like about all cars. I'd like to have about 20 to drive on my choice of days. I'd also like an H3 V8 or Jeep Cherokee. Being in real estate in this area i need something that is somewhat off road capable.

Jay my boy, I like lots of cars and respect each cars unique attributes...completely a NON HATER over here.

The car you have, the A4 has had my eye for a long time. I think it's one of the best looking small sedans out there. If I could own more than one car, the A4 would be in my garage.

I currently own a lovely Mazda RX8, before that a Ford Probe GT, and before that a Nissan NX2000.

I've been a car guy since the Dodge Viper made me one and like most of you I love cars and enjoy them as something MORE than just transportation.

Oh yeah...I'd love to own my first American V8 with the Camaro, before gas prices kill those cars off eventually I fear.

Yah... I don't mind the RX-8 either... very cool car. My family has quite a long Mazda history actually...Mazda Protege, Mazda MPV, Mazda Tribute, Mazda 3 and a couple others when i was really young, lol.

As for my car.... its no American muscle by any means.... but I still love my car... but those new Audi A5 and S5 are just something else!

I really like the Audi TT. It isn't a particularly impressive car, but I dig the styling and it is a luxury coupe that isn't too expensive with well-rounded performance.

other than f-bodies, which make up 7/12s of our fleet, I am into y-bodies ('99 FRC), quick little imports (2000 Civic Si) and trucks/suvs (2006 Z71 Tahoe, '96 Silverado)... I really want to get a 2008 Z06, but I cannot justify it to my wife right now, whereas I can justify a 2008 Silverado 3500HD dually, so that is prolly my next vehicle... and then the Miata that we own will be traded in on the 5th gen, unless the Miata is sold before the 5th gen comes out.
