Yeah - am glad didn't give them my CC number. Onstar keeps sending me e-mails to buy phone minutes. Last thing I need is a phone to start ringing while weaving in and out of traffic at 80 mph... I'd actually like to get a rear view mirror without those damn buttons on it - wonder if anyone on camaro5 has a DYI thread for that

XM called me thirty times in three days when my subscription ended. On about the fifteenth call at 9:45 in the evening, waking me, I was quite agitated but I didn't curse the gentleman, I was put on some kind of list to be called every fifteen minutes the following day. I went ballistic. I logged all of the calls and was finally able to speak to a manager and threatened a harassment lawsuit. That finally stopped them. They have some real winners working there.

On-Star did get my card number when I set it up at the dealer. The funny part will be when they try and charge my card and it doesn't go through because I had to cancel that card due to some fraudulent activity on it.
Yeah they called me a few times at night around 10:30pm. I have a 702 number but live in Florida. Had to tell them stop calling me or call earlier as I am not in Vegas.

Dont know if you were asking me this, but they dont have my CC. However I don't want them saying I owe them in the event they get some more info from the dealer possibly. You never know nowadays. And if I ever decide to sign up in the future I don't want them to say I owe from the past.

Yeah I had a free trial on my pick up and when it ended I wanted to renew for just one month because I was out of town on a road trip and wanted to use it on the way home the guy told me that I would get 3 months for the price of one so I signed up after I paid for the first month I got a bill the 2 months following needless to say I didn't pay them then few months later I get a collections notice on the account then once I called them about the bill they hung up on me 3 times

Sorry to hear of your misunderstanding with Sirius/XM.

Personally, I wouldn't think of owning a car without satellite radio. Of the four cars in my household, we have two XM and two Sirius subscriptions. I must admit that I have had many issues with them over the years about my account when a replace a car with another. They can't seem to keep track of my account and current radio numbers.

With that said, their product is way too good to do without and worth every nickel I pay. I love the music and the content variety and I hate stinkin' commercial radio.

Not trying to discount your experience and frustration...just sayin'.

Alfie

I love the service, but SiriusXm's customer service is the all time worst ever.

Never give them a credit card number, and if at all possible, try to never need to call them. Otherwise everything will be great.

I'm loving XM. It makes my 140 mile round trip commute bearable. I do the online bill pay to track my charges.

Yeah, I'm relatively tired of dealing with their crap as well. I hate commercial radio, and instead of XM I have my iPod hooked up -- don't miss it at all. They totally screwed up my cars, couldn't get their act together. AND being on the phone with them forever is a joke. That's valuable time I could be doing something else. Automatic call directors, wait times, then you get a moron in India that sounds like a freakin robot.

I just told OnStar to take a hike today as well....needed them to get my daughter out of a trouble spot, her car flooded with her IN IT -- the car has OnStar but the electrical system took a shit. So I used the OnStar in my Camaro -- run around run around run around.....unbelievable. I got quicker response calling the dealer and talking to the service manager - help was on the way in less than 3 minutes. OnStar was still trying to figure their shit out when I disconnected them. Cancelled my subscription immediately upon returning home -- for all cars.

I lived without it for decades, and see no reason not to cancel. Asked for their address for certified mail and sent that in writing as well. Anything comes over on my charge card and it gets disputed. Xm is no different. I get mail from them almost DAILY in my mailbox trying to get me to "come back". Never.

Sounds about right. I called them more than 15 times to cancel and they hung up on me every time. Then they reported me to a collection agency for not paying the "automatic renewal".
I never gave them my credit card number and since they can't charge me for renew, they just renew it anyway and then report me for not paying. True assholes in every respect.

Yeah, they annoyed the crap out of me too! They asked me if I wanted to renew and I told them my car was garaged for the winter and it was pointless. She said that shw could give me a really good discount but its BS because the car is garaged! I told her to take me off the mailing address and remove my phone number, but the calls kept coming. Lately it has gotten better.
