I kind of understand what blackSSRS was trying to say. When some people get hammered, they think they can do anything.

If a person who is hammered is only just then trying to decide if they're okay to drive, then it's too late. People need to be proactive about it and recognize that, if they're going to drink heavily, they shouldn't even drive themselves to the bar in the first place. Get a cab or have the DD drive everyone.

Likely though, the most he'll get convicted of is 2nd degree homicide or even the lesser charge of felony vehicular manslaughter.
The DA will have to prove that the street race was pre meditated even if during inebrieation. I would guess that they will go man 2 for a definite conviction....either way he deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

and???? If I line up against another car and we both take off at the highest possible potential for both of our cars and police officer sees it and pulls us over, you'd better damn well believe we will get charged with street racing... Just because it's not part of some underground racing circuit doesn't mean it's not street racing. By that same logic Homemade Amateur Pornography isn't Pornography because it doesn't have a proper studio distributor...

Street Racing btw is any form of unsanctioned and illegal motor racing that takes place on, get this, PUBLIC ROADS....

I'd agree with this, I think it's hilarious that people drink and drive, I mean I just cannot fathom that someone could be so incredibly stupid. I for one know, hey I drive a 400 Horsepower Camaro hmm maybe it's not a good idea to drive when I'm drunk... Okay I'll wait and sober up. So whenever I hear that people have been drinking and driving and killed someone I'm just floored. It's sad that they had to die yes I will not deny this but for the reason they died that is not sad. These people are lucky they didn't kill anyone else... My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of those involved....
