Syntha 6 is a great product. Also look into True Mass which is a lean mass gainer made by BSN as well. they taste great as well. it really depends on your goals and how hard you are working out. True Mass is a great product for mass gaining. i have had great results with it, but remember the best way to gain size is to EAT more, but eat clean.

my man has it right here. A supplement is to be used as that.. a supplement to something you can not get. If you can not eat MORE food (good food), then start with the protein shakes.

When your eyes open in the morning, hit that metabolism hard with a protein shake, then some good food shortly after.

And no, zero carbs is NOT good when trying to gain some mass. Great for losing weight though.

My staple protein for the past few years. Opt Nutrition Pro Complex and Monster Milk. Both are high in quality protein, good carbs, low sugar, taste great and loaded with vitamins/minerals and BCAA's.

Now go eat.

I use Gaspari Nutrition products and I'll never take anything else. I use Gaspari Real Mass (weight gainer) because I'm very thin. Gaspari is the best tasting protein by far. I went from 111lbs to 131lbs. I'm using Power Carb now too, good stuff. It increases the uptake of your supplements.

Oh, and Gaspari has something in it to reduce/counter the enzymes that make you gassy. I also take "Dairy Relief" lactase enzyme pills from Wal-Mart. I'm lactose-intolerant so this stuff makes it to where I'm not bothered at all. I think it's like $7.

All this crazy protein talk. Do like George Forman and eat lots of cheeseburgers. He has said that all the grease lubes your joints so you can lift easier.

Personnally I like the lean look. I sorta watch what I eat. I don't care about calories as they are easy to burn off. I do watch my fat intake, especially sat fats. I am 5'11" and normally maintain my weight right around 148lbs. After I made Chief, the majority of my work was at a desk, so over a couple year period I gained about 10lbs. Ever since I retired and got my butt back to TX, in the past two months I have lost 10lbs putting me back to where I like to be. It is a great feeling when ppl constantly guess me much younger than I am at 41. When i did my retirement physical, my Dr. said that my blood work and medical record proves that in my 20yr career and being 41 years old that I am healthier than some kids just coming in the Navy these days.

I'm using Muscle Milk, I'm not sure if I'm drinking the proper amount. I add 2 full scoops in a glass of non-fat milk each day (usually when I get home from the gym). I'm 29, 5' 11". I lost 70 pounds last year (was 230 now 160) and now I look too bony. I need to pack on some muscle mass, but not juiced-up meathead look. I wanna be toned but not a huge gorilla sized dude. I think I got carried away with my weight loss though. My one friend says I'm anorexic and my one co-worker called me the Incredible Shrinking Man... I know there's 3500c in a pound of muscle. So if you want to gain a pound of muscle a week you need to add 500c every day to your calorie intake as far as I know? I don't know if I'm doing this right...

ON 100% Gold Standard. Vanilla Ice Cream is good with water or milk. Make sure you take ZMA at betime too. I just take protein after my workout because i know i dont have the healthiest diet being in college lol. But if you're trying to bulk i would drink protein with every meal to gain mass and then go ape sh*t at the gym to get built. err not really sure tho.

For meals, as soon as you wake up down a whey protein shake to fight canabolic state. Get a whole food meal within a hour. If I know I cant make one, then night before boil my 6 jumbo eggs and take my whole wheat bagel to go.

Someone said it earlier, protein powders are good for supplementation, but to add quality muscle you need alot of clean whole foods. Muscle is worked in the gym, but made in the kitchen!!! Critical time is immediate post workout and then 1 hour after that.

Been doing this ahwile and have had alot of succes, 6' 235, not sure of BF but I am lean and 34 waist, not like bonnie's 0% body fat!! LOL

Also keep in mind, and it took me awhile to get this into my head, but you should cycle. off and on seasons. Pack on mass during winter months where a few extra pounds are ok and then cut in spring then maintain summer time. You dont have to be a pro to do this. Your body cant handle going all out year round.

Bottom line, eat clean whole food, supplement with shakes, WORKOUT! but have realistic goals.

Good luck

you cant go wrong with just plain ole eggs, or even any kind of meat and whole grain breads for a good breakfast.

4 egg whites and 1/3 cup oatmeal for me, but since your a guy you would need to up the amount, I usually spinkle cinnamon and sweeten with stevia in the oatmeal..
