Looking at the pictures of the Camaro's above, I'm reminded of a phrase from the Fbodfather; "There is no such thing as a bad Camaro. Some are just less fortunate that others."
so true!

I had wanted the ground effects kit when I purchased my Z28. I can't remember why (either I could not get the option due to other options I checked, or it wasn't cost effective), but I wasn't able to get them.

^^ that isn't that bad at all. I kind of like it!

But the other pics that you guys posted... is just a bit much! lol
Just to clarify my oft mentioned love of GFX, I thought I'd point out the above pic is what I'm talking about. The above pic is what the 4th Gens should have looked like from the factory imo.

The first 2 images in this thread though?

I don't like the overdone rice-kits. Just the subtle body kit above.

I REALLY hope they come out with one for the 5th Gen shortly after it's release 'cause I'll be in the market for one.

This was the kit available from GM for a while I believe, first as a dealer installed package then available on the RS and Z28 if memory serves me correctly
Subtle, but I'm still not a fan

I wasn't overly fond of that body style (early 4th Gen) until that RS body kit was released in '96 or '97.

Biggest problem was the front ground effect got busted up something terrible. I've never seen one with that style that wasn't torn up. The very front wasn't the best design imo due to it not only being so low, but being made in a way that's easily busted.

The factory GFX package for the '98+ models were the best looking/designed of the 4th Gens (imo). They split the front ground effect into 2 pieces, with none in the middle at all. I never once scraped the front of my '02 w/GFX.

I agree, my dad had a 4th gen with ground effects close to that and we scraped on every drive way or bump we went on..
