terrible to see this. terrible to see a camaro wrecked but even worse to see someone who put their life on the line to serve our country and protect our freedom die so un-necessarily. Michigan roads can be treacherous, but 120mph after drinking (sober or not) is ir-responsible.

I do admit. i have exceeded the speed limit in my camaro, many times. but never in the middle of night, after drinking at all, or on anything other than straight dry pavement.

You feel bad for a cold, metal, lifeless vehicle over a person?

Sorry mcdoogle. It was a little sarcasm but yes, I feel worse for the car than the idiot driving it. How many warnings did he have. As I said he's lucky he didn't kill someone else. Put things in perspective and imagine this guy killing one of your kids or your wife, how much compassion would you have then. He wasted his own life, this is not a card that life delt him, like my brother in law dying of cancer right now or my girlfriends dad dying as well with a brain disease. This is just plain ignorance and stupidity.

I kind of agree with you, I'm sure the feelings expressed by others here would be different had he killed someone else while he was drunk driving (if he was). Maybe what you said originally was a little harsh but even if he wasn't drunk, taking a turn at 120mph is irresponsible.

It is a sad and tragic story and the newscast was a little hard to watch. That car looked like it virtually exploded on impact! And it was a little bit creepy the way his friends were smiling during the interview but I guess everyone deals with stress differently.

Sad story no matter how you look at it. Rest in peace, Marine.

Dude... He fought for your freedoms. Lay off the titles you keep throwing out there. Give him at least that respect. Irrisponsible or not. Doesn't make calling the kid an "idiot" right. That could be your kid out there dead, or mine. Lay off!

You must've read me wrong brother. I'm a vet myself. Calling him Marine was meant for respect. Ease up man. I never called him an idiot.
