I was 20 in college and I woke up to go to school just in time to see the second tower fall. Unbelievable that it has been a decade.

the services were on so early, i didn't really see them.
10 years. unreal. feels like 5. scary how fast time goes when you're an adult.
i'll never forget it . phone rang, 6:15 am here. it was my brother in utah, he was an hour ahead getting ready for work. i opened my eyes and my bedroom tv was still on from the night before, and the Today Show was on live. Second plane had just hit.

we were woken up that morning by my brother in law who was living with us at the time. He knocked on our bedroom door & told us to turn on the tv.
just in time to see the first tower fall & the 2nd one hit.

Its even more hard for us since my husband is miliatry, but also on that day we were taking our 95 camaro in for the new hood & paint job.

That is a nice tribute. I swear the only part of France that likes Americans, is Paris. The rest of their country hates our guts. We made a port call there in 09, took just me and my 2 buds about 4 hours to find a hotel who would allow us to stay. They also refused to sell cell phones or sim cards to us.

Italy on the other hand... much friendlier :]
