I am looking at a 8 or 9 series nvidia. I have had VERY good luck with the last 2 i had in my machines (a 5200 and a 5500). I want at LEAST a 512mb card but if i can score a good deal online then i will get a 1gig .
Check newegg a few of the cards are coming with free COD games.

I usually get my stuff from www.pricewatch.com a online search engine for parts from dealers. it was pricewatch that helped me get my PC parts for cheap.

gigabyte motherboard WITH amd 64 dual core 3200 (2.0ghz) cpu, heatsink and fan: 66 bucks shipped.
2 sticks of 2gb DDR3 800mhz memory: 36 bucks shipped
black atx tower case with free 80mm case fan: 55 bucks shipped
500w power supply with both IDE and SATA hookups: 32 bucks shipped.

The 3200+ cpu was only socket 939 and early AM2 before they stopped producing it so it couldn't possible use DDR3 as 939 was limited to DDR and AM2 can only use DDR2. Also isn't the lowest clock for DDR3 1000mhz? And i'm not trying to knock your rig or anything but that's an OLD processor and i think the second slowest one they made, so no wonder it was so cheap. And thanks for the site i might use it to salvage some of the extra 9 PC's i have laying around my house/car/parents house.

go to nvidia's website by clicking here and do the diagnostic they have on their site to check to see if the firmware and drivers are up to date, if they are not then update them, you'll have to uninstall the old nforce motherboard driver first if you need to update that... though try just updating the gfx card driver first... and I believe in a previous post, that said check the card itself and make sure its heatsink isn't clogged with dust... may just be overheating...
