IRS is the biggest "new feature"

I expect the next gen camaro to receive the same size reducing changes as this mustang to compete with the import sport coupe market. Hold on to your 5th gens... these will mark the last full size gasoline muscle cars.

As long as the 6th gen is lighter and faster I can live with that. I hope the 5th gen goes down as the heaviest Camaro ever, we can't take much more weight.

It's not plausible to radically change the Mustang's design like they did from generation to generation before the S196 (2005+). I'm fully for maintaining the same body lines and overall styling cues of the 65-68 models that they're currently doing, except just evolving it. Some cars need an iconic look that, through the generations, evolves to suit modern styling trends but still maintains the iconic shape and proportions created in the inaugural model. A huge example of this are Porsches, and even Corvettes. After the first generation Corvette, every styling change was simply an evolution of the same general shape. Even today, you can tell a Porsche is a Porsche. The Camaros and Mustangs differed way too radically from generation to generation before.

Hmmm I wonder if they are going to stay with the current chasis and just throw the IRS back in and change up the styling. If so the styling have to be a decent departure from the current model. If I was ford I would develop an all new chasis and spread the cost with a Lincoln version which desperately needs a RWD vehicle.

Ford is STILL too far behind when it comes to making it look like the 64, 65, 66 that sold for them SO well. Sorry but the mustang does NOT look retro. Chevy did it with the camaro looks alot like the 67-69 and dodge did it with the challanger that looks like the early 70's. Dodge did totally mess up the charger though.... what the hell were they thinking.

I just dod not get it... are there or are there not people who approve these designs????
