I love the hot weather. I'm going to be moving to Phoenix, AZ in a little over a year for a new career training and to stay. Northern California weather has always been pretty nice overall though.

Another appealing factor about Arizona is that with what I sell my modest little house here in California I can buy a nice big 2 story house with a pool there.
I have found violin spiders, scorpions, and rattle snakes on my property here so that doesn't divert me from AZ.

Yeah its cheap there. I seen beautiful apartments for 400 a month in a apartment guide book. Here and PA for a dump its like 1,000 a month. and me i get scared of a spider in my basement. a little daddy long leg lol.

Maybe, if you scrupulously gather enough specimens of each of those creatures, you may be able to implant a self-sustaining colony in your new abode. Nothin' like feelin' at home, eh?

I never thought I'd agree with Ms. Cottontail but..

I would straight up murder someone (not really) for some freaking rain here in Texas.

I can't remember the last significant rain fall. Sunny weather isn't all its cracked up to be when you haven't gotten a drop of water in over a month or 2(?) and its been cracking over a 100 degrees for the last 2 weeks.

There's this small area from El Paso to Lubbock, and ends in SW Oklahoma, that is in the 106-107 degree range today. It's been 100+ in most of Oklahoma, but our little SW area here has been the hottest. It actually hit 113 on Friday about 20 miles west of here at about 6 pm. Cooler in much of Texas than here.

I guess my point is that this is not normal. This is August weather, not June. The last time temps reached this high in June here was in 1923. (I wasn't around then.) And we also are in a severe drought. :(

We'd gladly send some heat up to the Northwest. I don't like it.
