GM is killing Hummer. That's already been announced. They would GLADLY take Jeep (an extremely strong brand) over Hummer. GMC doesn't really compete with Jeep but certainly Dodge would. So selling that off I could see. But Jeep is the best thing Chrysler has. They could sell it off to raise cash but the reasoning behind it (competition) doesn't hold water. Talks of GM-Chrysler merger have been going on for years and it hasn't happened yet so we'll see.

it really doesnt bother me one way or the other. whatever helps GM in the long run.

Assumption much? So long as things stay relatively stable (which isn't saying much), economists predict the recession will start to lift at the end of this year...."inevitable". hmf!
