You got extremely lucky. I tend not to push it down here in the metro. Almost 1 year of ownership and haven't been pulled over once. Doesn't mean I baby my Camaro around, I just try to do it when no cops are around

Honor and respect do go a long way, few years back (when I was young and dumb) got stopped 4 am, should not have been walking let alone driving, leo let me call someone to come get me, no dwi....respect and don't lie to him when asked "HAVE YOU BEEN DRINKING TONIGHT? Thank you to that officer, I did not do it again!

Respect, and owning your screw-up. Good choice, and earns respect back even if you DO get the fine. Backtalk and attitude - you earn the fine and the enmity of a cop who knows what you drive!
I got pulled over in an old subaru one time over 80 in a 55, he asked me if I knew how fast I was going I just said the truth "Yeah, I couldn't believe this old thing would go that fast, but I slowed down when I saw how fast I was going sir, you saw me slowing down before your lights came on. Sorry!"
He chuckled, and let me go with no warning even except a verbal "well, you keep this speed demon under control" after he checked my license & insurance.
You woulda had to see this subaru... it was the ultimate in beat up beaters, used only when the real car was broke.

You got lucky indeed but owning up helps!!

I've been pulled over 10 times since I got this car. Only once for "excessive exceleration" though and once for speeding lol, the rest for my lights. And I always just play nice or say I'm sorry. Haven't had a ticket yet!

Got my first ticket last week too. 75 in a 60 going downhill coming out of the mountains of west North Carolina. Doesn't take much for a heavy sportscar to go a little too fast heading downhill. Thought my military indoctrinated respectfulness Army paraphernalia that clearly paints me as a service member would get me out of it especially on Memorial Day.

Nope.

When he asked what year it was I had a glimmer of hope he was a Camaro5 guy disguised as a LEO but turns out he was just writing my ticket for accuracy.

back in 1995 my buddy drove down his 1993 red cobra mustang and he was gettin on it a little bit and we got pulled over. the cop let us off and said nice car as we pulled away he motioned to do a burnout doing the finger thingy pointing to the rear tires..... my buddy was smart and did not do it but there are cool cops that like street cars out there.

Are you sayin' that cops, in cop cars, pull over and ticket offending fellow cops in cop cars? Maaan!!! Dude, I gotta' see that. So does the rest of the world, I honestly think that no one believes that would EVER happen.
If ya' have it recorded, put it on You Tube. There'll be a million hits!

In AZ anything 25 over is a felony. Slow but steady wins the race here.

A few years back, I was drivin' my '05 GTO, and for a still unknown reason, I was pulled over by a local police officer. When he came to my driver's side window, I lowered it and asked him, "Have you been drinking this evening?" He looked at me dumbfounded and walked back to his car. I drove off; that was that.

By being honest and respectful I have gotten out of some crazy tickets both camaro and street bikes. I've been pulled over so many times it's unreal but I still have a clean driving record.
