It used to be a good place back in the days of jet engine cars like Art Arfon , but somewhere along the line it got sold and ever since that day it went straight downhill.
The track itself had a slight high spot in it about 3/4 the way through the 1/4 mile. By did that get exciting at 120mph+
Half the time they didn't even have a standby ambulance. The restrooms on the spectator side were constantly flooded, the pits were gravel.
During practice runs, they ran 4 cars abreast. That could get real interesting real quick.

but it was real close to me. Grew up and still live right down sibley road near quarry.
When we wanted to do some serious racing, we'd head out to Milan.
First time I went to Milan, I followed my neighbor. He trailered his car, me I just uncapped my header and drove the car. He forgot to tell me that we'd be going down Telegraph and turning at the state police post south of Flatrock.
Not a good thing to do driving a car with open exhaust.
Took that corner reaaal slow and reaaal careful like.

I'll be working that day in Westland @ I-275 & Ford.
Not sure if I should head there from work or come on down to Telegraph & Sibley to join the caravan.
Which corner of Sibley & Telegraph will we gather at.
My car will be in the shop all week getting some mods done, but I asked them to have it done by Friday morning so I could pick it up before work so I'd have it for th emeeting.

I'll do my best to make it, weather will be a factor. It's a long haul from northern Oakland county. As far as Walmart, you got to love the "people of Walmart" I'm hoping for a nice warm, dry day. So whoever is out there doing that rain dance, KNOCK IT OFF! Hope to see you there.
