Driving 85 MPH Could Soon Be a Legal Reality On Some Texas Highways

Click on the link below:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_locald...imit-to-85-mph

Im all for it as long as they make it illegal for you to drive that fast and still talk and text behind the wheel.

That's it! I'm moving to Texas. It's the last state in the union to make any kind of sense anymore. Everyday I read things that are cool in Texas.

Ohio is slowly bumping it back up to 70MHP in allot of places like it was back in my Dads day.

only reason it went down is the fed's paid them off to do it.

We have a lot of 70 and some 75 here..... 85 though . On some of those long flat roads that you can see for 20 miles.... I'm sure 85 would be nice

Ya our speed limit was 70 mph on the freeway too but then a couple of years before I was able to get my license they dropped the speed down to 65 mph Its not like I go 65 anyways...lol

The road to El Paso is long and very boring flat land. Most drivers push the limit faster than 80!

There's already a long stretch of road between San Antonio and El Paso that is legally 80 mph. It makes for some fun on-ramp launches to the speed limit.
