I guess it makes sense that you shouldn't get in the middle of a situation like that, but I don't think standing around in a big crowd watching it all unfold is advisable either.

Yes. And therefore, one can exercise citizen's arrest until authorities get there. But trying to stop it or get in the middle of it is not the smart thing to do.

I would just let the fight end itself and make sure no one leaves until the police arrive. Then again, if the person decides to leave, you can just get her license plates and now she'll be charged with leaving the scene of a crime.

Yes, however I think we saw assault and assault with a deadly weapon there..

That weapon being what appears to be a rubber band passing off as a thong. Had that thing gone off.. someone may have lost an eye, or had a stroke.
