Also its 4 stanza (or verses) long and we only sing the first 1.

yeah, I've played trumpet for 12 years now and in our high school band, we played off the US Navy's version of the national anthem. Some of the copies were really old and actually had the words to all 4 verses in it... it was kinda cool too see them. Good thing they don't sing all 4, the superbowl woulda been a huge mess!

If I had a good voice and was ever asked to sing the anthem at a sporting event I'd sing the whole 4 stanza just to see people go WTF?. I'd be like you guys asked me to sing it so I did.

lol, I could play it on trumpet 4 times.... then people would really go WTF . I do think that would be cool to hear someone sing the whole thing sometime though.
