My father had two 1991 Toyota pickups both with over 300k miles on the same engine. He only changed the oil and had minor tuneups done. Nothing broke.

Also, he's had 3 mercedes (300 TD, 2x 300D) all built in 1979.

The camaro makes the third brand that has accomplished this that I know of.

Silverado is known to get mid 200,000 miles, so far as I know. Look at all those ancient Silverado's driving around.
But to have Camaro able to do that is indeed something to be proud of.

If the Mercedes' were diesel, they should last for a very long time. Any diesel should outlast a gasoline engine by a lot.
