I got screwed out of a shit load of GM stock too. I just really wanted the Camaro, but I'm more than likely done with GM everything for a long while

my very first investment was $500 in McLeod Telecom. within a year it was worth $273. Within 3, it was worth $16 then eventually after a reverse split (they gave me one share) they did a reverse split again and it was worth $0 because I only had 1 share.

That'll teach me to invest. haha

As the famous P.T. Barnum was quoted as saying "There's a sucker born every minute" meaning there is never a shortage of gullible people. Buy some of those shares of the "proceeding well" GM today and I say your shares will each be worth $25 before they ever see $50

You missed the point Mr P.T. Barnum The point was the WACKOS that talked & wanted it to fail when the Gov. took over i.e. GM=Government Motors. Little by little GM will come back strong as ever thanks to OUR Gov stepping in....

You lose your money the instant you buy stock (after all, money is what you buy stock with ... ). Beyond that, you just hope you get more out than you put in.

Afraid to lose money investing? Keep your cash in a savings account at your bank.

Well the jury is still out on that, but glad you're OK with it being done on the backs of the original stockholders and our borrowed china $$.....

And really, who "wanted" GM to fail? that's political nonsense.....

Plenty of people wanted them to not only fail, but have them liquidated as well. And it had little to nothing to do with politics. The logic was more or less that if GM went down, better companies (ie, Ford and Toyota) would take their place and the market would be a better place without them.
