Here's a fun question, what do you think he will say about the new Camaro when he finally gets a turn behind the wheel of a production car?
That's why this is such a big deal. Clarkson hates most American cars and rips them to shreds with criticism on his show. For him to pick an American car as Car of the Year is big.

And seriously, as Camaro fans are you really surprised that we support it's big brother the Corvette getting recognized as it deserves?

Why is it, when I am on this forum, I always have to reiterate that I like the Gen 5 (and will be looking to purchase one in the near future) as much as I like the '67-'69 versions and have no loyalty to any specific car brand/model?
Because you own a Mustang and open most of you posts with a derogitory (sp?) comment like, "I thought this was a Camaro forum, not a GM nutswinger forum."

I welcome you and any other crossover buyers, but you would get more respect from others if you showed more respect.

Yes this is a camaro forum, but we also talk about almost every other vehicle under the sun. I think stovt001 was just stating his opinion on what they will think of the camaro, and I'm glad to hear your gonna possibly get a new camaro. I can't wait till we start getting these on dealer lots.

What the heck is a "crossover" buyer? I owned a 2006 GTO before I owned the GT500. We have a Chrysler Aspen as our family vehicle and my wife has a Chrysler Crossfire in the garage. And exactly what would you like me to respect? The fact that some people are more about a brand than a product? I can't do that.

Oh, it's not a possibility, it's a foregone conclusion. It's just a matter of when. As long as they are trying to get MSRP or better for them, I'll pass. Like most Fords, if not worse, the Camaro is going to have too much depreciation to pay anything near the MSRP just to be one of the first to have one in the garage.

KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!

STOP!!!!!

I apologize for blowing up in this thread, but, I've had enough.

I'm so done putting a stop to these stupid pissing contests.

We (Mods) all are. If we can't get back to normal around here without all the bickering and stubbornness. We will start to take action.

We, are all loosing our patience. I don't have any desire to recite to each of you what you're doing wrong. So, I'll just tell you how to do it right. Be RESPECTFUL and Don't provoke or antagonize other members... We have never had to become Mod Nazi's here but this ongoing "you said, I said" Crap is driving us to be less members and more moderators.

Don't push it. Please. There won't be many more warnings. I can't say it any clearer than that.

One of his favorite cars is the Ford Focus ST- the European one, but it's also Ford. He said something to the effect if he had to pop down his actual money- thats what he'd pop his money down on.

I enjoy Top Gear, it's fun to watch- it's a helluva lot more interesting than Motor Week zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. That being said, I don't take it personally every time someone doesn't like an American made vehicle.

I meant crossover as in someone who owned a Ford, Dodge, Import, ect and bought a GM product. Although I have a dedication to GM I can also appreciate a good product from other brands as well. And BTW your GT500 looks very nice and your hp numbers are impressive.
