It will be because car costs too much, generally poor car sales, or lack of interest in fast, powerful cars. It would make more sense to possibly see a GTO, G7, Firebird or something only if the Camaro is sucessful.
x2 that's all gm needs is ANOTHER clone...

I'm not sure what you mean by dies and molds but other than a new body kit and some other things like tail lights and badges was there that much difference in the F-bodies before?

Also, you forgot one other factor relating to lack of sales - people not able to get credit.
'generally poor car sales' was the catch-all term that I used. Credit is the main underlying fact there though. And you are on the right track with what I mean. A new body, and a new interior would be needed. Everything under the sheet metal can be the same for all anyone cares, but why go to the extra cost of making a new 'skin' for a car that isn't making enough money as it is? Maybe there are a lot of firebird diehards out there that would never buy a Camaro that I don't know about. But the majority seem to be 'f-body enthusiasts' and are happy enough with the Camaro.

actually, thats what my mom is. so I'm really hoping they come out with a firebird, but at the same time I want the Camaro to succeed.
